UnboxingBLR Foundation is proud to support BBMP’s “Namma Bengaluru, Namma Koduge” initiative, demonstrating our commitment to enhancing Bengaluru’s livability and vibrancy. Below are the key highlights of our involvement:
- Memorandum of Understanding (MoU):
- As part of BBMP’s “Namma Bengaluru, Namma Koduge” program, BBMP and UnboxingBLR Foundation have signed an MoU for the beautification of Church Street, with UnboxingBLR taking responsibility for maintaining the street for two years.
- Church Street Beautification:
- As part of BBMP’s “Namma Bengaluru, Namma Koduge” program, UnboxingBLR Foundation has initiated a comprehensive facelift of Church Street.
- This project focuses on improving infrastructure, aesthetics, and community appeal, including road and footpath repairs, upgraded streetlights, ornamental greenery, improved drainage, and better cleanliness and garbage disposal facilities.
- Roles and Responsibilities:
- BBMP: Provides the framework and governance to ensure alignment with the city’s urban planning and infrastructure goals.
- UnboxingBLR Foundation: Acts as the project anchor, funding and maintaining the Church Street facelift for two years as a non-commercial engagement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Key stakeholders include Shanthi Nagar MLA N. A. Haris (Church Street is under the Shanthi Nagar constituency), Naresh Narasimhan (Managing Partner, Venkataramanan Associates), local residents, and businesses.
- Phased Execution:
- The project will be implemented in stages to ensure smooth progress and effective outcomes.
- Future Plans:
- Church Street is the first of three streets adopted by UnboxingBLR Foundation. Similar transformations are planned for Richmond Road and Vittal Mallya Road at a later date.

- Upcoming projects: A docu-series and a museum on innovation, start-ups, and technology
